Terms of use
What Acotario offers, what you can do with what you export and what each party is responsible for. By creating an account you accept these terms.
Last updated: 17 October 2026 · This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
01The service
Acotario is a web application provided by [TITULAR] (see the legal notice). It offers a library of interactive sheets with usability and comfort dimensions for architecture and interior design, project folders to save the dimensions you decide on, and drawing exports to DXF, SVG and PNG.
You can browse the library and download drawings as PNG without signing up. Saving sheets to projects and exporting to DXF or SVG require a free account.
The library grows and changes: we may add, improve, correct or withdraw sheets and features. If a change significantly affects what you have saved, we will try to tell you in advance.
02Your account
- You must be at least 14 years old. If you are a minor, you need the permission of your parents or guardians.
- The details you provide must be accurate. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for the activity on your account: tell us if you suspect unauthorised use.
- Your account is personal and non-transferable.
- You can delete it at any time from Account. Your projects are deleted with it, so export anything you want to keep first.
03Acceptable use
When you use Acotario, you agree not to:
- use it for unlawful purposes or in ways that infringe the rights of others;
- access accounts, data or systems without authorisation, or bypass security measures or usage limits;
- overload the service or extract content in bulk or by automated means (bots, scraping, mass downloads) beyond normal use with a browser;
- copy, resell or redistribute the library, its sheets or a substantial part of them, or use them to build a database or a competing service, or to train artificial intelligence systems;
- remove authorship or ownership notices that accompany the content.
If you breach these terms we may limit or suspend your access. Unless the seriousness of the case prevents it, we will warn you first.
04Intellectual property and licence
What is ours. The application and its code, the design, the sheets (texts, criteria, ranges and notes), the drawings and their graphic system, and the brand belong to [TITULAR] or its licensors. These terms do not transfer those rights to you, except for the licence described below.
What is yours. Your projects — names, descriptions, notes and the values you choose — are yours. You only grant us the permission we need to store, process and show them to you while we provide the service.
Licence for exported drawings. We grant you a free, non-exclusive, worldwide and perpetual licence to use, modify and incorporate the drawings you export (DXF, SVG or PNG) in your projects, coursework, reports, presentation sheets and presentations, including for professional or commercial purposes. You do not need to credit us, although we appreciate it.
The licence does not allow you to redistribute the drawings or the sheets on their own, as standalone content: for example, selling them, sublicensing them or publishing them as a library, catalogue or block collection.
PNG images downloaded without an account include a discreet reference to acotario.eu.
05Guideline values and professional responsibility
The sheets offer guideline usability and comfort values based on ergonomics, anthropometry, design guides and good professional practice, with their sources. They are not building regulations and do not replace the analysis of a qualified professional in each case.
Before applying a value in a project, check the regulations in force where the project is built — in Spain, among others, the Building Technical Code (CTE) and regional and municipal accessibility and habitability rules — and the particular conditions of the commission. Whoever designs and signs the project is solely responsible for regulatory compliance and for the project’s decisions.
The drawings are usability diagrams: check their dimensions before incorporating them into technical documentation.
06Price
The service, including the account, is free. In the future we may offer paid plans with additional features; if we do, we will tell you the price and conditions in advance, and we will never charge you for anything you have not expressly signed up for.
07Availability and warranties
We provide the service with care, but it is offered “as is” and “as available”: it may be interrupted for maintenance, technical failures or reasons beyond our control, and the sheets may contain errors. We do not guarantee that the service is fit for a particular purpose or error-free. If you find an error, write to us and we will fix it as soon as possible.
We recommend exporting the information you want to keep from time to time.
08Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, [TITULAR] is not liable for:
- design, construction or any other decisions you make based on the service;
- indirect damage, loss of profit, or loss of data, revenue or opportunities;
- interruptions or failures caused by third parties or by force majeure.
If you use the service as a professional or business, our total liability for any reason is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it or, if the service was free, to one hundred euros (€100).
Nothing above limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence or for personal injury, or the rights you have as a consumer under Spanish consumer law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007), which prevail over these terms.
09Suspension and closure
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms seriously or repeatedly. Unless there is an emergency or a legal impediment, we will warn you first and you will be able to export your information.
If we decide to discontinue the service, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so that you can export your projects.
Clauses that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, the licence for drawings already exported, limitation of liability and governing law — remain in force after closure.
10Changes to the terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the service or in the law. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in the application at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before that date; if you keep using the service, you accept the new version.
11Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Before going to court, write to us at [EMAIL]: we will try to resolve the matter amicably.
If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence will have jurisdiction and you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence. Otherwise, both parties submit to the courts of the owner’s registered address.
